My own illustrations of Duncan, son of MacCready and Shaun, son of Elizabeth/Elias, the sole survivor.
Feels a bit disappointing that we never get to see Duncan in the game, so we can just guess how much he takes after his parents. In my thoughts Duncan wears a fied medic's helmet, which is a small reference to his parents when they were young. And just like his dad he has quite good hair under that helmet.
Shaun on the other hand uses a loupe since he likes to tinker a lot, as well as wears a newspaper boy's cap, just to fit in with the other members of Unique Hat Club all the other adults are part of.

The two boys might be close to same age now, but it won't take long to realize that only one of these kids gains some height over time.
