Usually I like to draw comics with no speech bubbles, so that the images could tell the story on their own. (Also, because I'm still not too familiar with portions and how much characters, bubbles and other props take space, so I simply exclude them from more serious comics. For now.)
BUT, in case if I want to spice this scene up with banter, here's how it would go.

Panel 1.
Elizabeth: How are we supposed to cross this river? It's dirty! And cold! Not to mention we are going to get wet! Is there a bridge nearby?

Panel 3.
Elizabeth: Oh, how gentleman of you, Robert. I guess you do have some manners.

Panel 5.
Elizabeth: ¿Que demonios?! What was that for?!
MacCready: It's just freaking water, you princess! Get used to it!

If there's something MacCready most certainly is not going to put up with is the complaining of an arrogant, whiny, picky, dainty, pampered, lady-like pre-war housewife. Even despite getting paid for his services of teaching how to survive in Commonwealth. In fact, here in apocalyptic world you can say goodbye to your disgust over water and any discomfort, dirt or dust you gather during your adventures.
