Piper can’t swim. She never had a reason to swim and there were never big water sources to swim in where she used to grow up. By the time she joined Freedom Fighters, there was no more water at all for any Martian Mouse to even be bothered to learn to swim as basic training.
Well, this turned out to be a huge problem on Earth, which is 70% covered in water, especially when it comes to missions or gigs that involve riding on a small bike across huge and deep pools of water. There were a few instances where ether the whole gang was almost drowned, like in Lake Michigan, or other cases where Piper got knocked off of her bike or tossed into the water. It’s a good thing though that at least bros know how to swim to save their sis. Well, almost. Vinnie swims badly but can stay afloat, and Throttle does know the basics and can swim faster if needed to.
