This is so amazing! Everything is so perfect; the colors, its composition, and I love how each part (except for Rose and Steven) show how their gems are created. The same goes for your "Chained"-drawing. I'd love to own both this and "Chained" as shirts, so I look forward to the day you decide to sell them.
Also, I'm very sorry to hear that your beautiful drawing was stolen. I hope it works out for you.
The only thing I'm a little confused about concerning this drawing - isn't Garnet's right hand supposed to be blue since Sapphire's gem is located on her right palm?

It sucks that people are stealing your work, and it's not okay, but it's illegal to sell copyrighted art and merchandise. Most of the time, these companies don't take action, so I doubt Rebecca will come and sue you and/or ask you to stop, but you should realize that what you are doing is actually illegal and arguably just as bad as the person stealing your work. Just keep that in mind, especially since the reason you are mad about them stealing your work is because you also wanted to profit from it.

Have you ever checked out an Artist's Alley at a convention, and/or are you familiar with how doujinshi publishing works in Japan? Many creators have a tacit understanding with fans that small-scale runs of fan merchandise based on the fans' own work but using copyrighted characters are acceptable to sell. Often, creators who are aware of fandom's propensity to do so and specifically do not want it to happen will release a statement saying so (ex. the Nightvale creators and the author of Homestuck have both requested fanwork not be sold -- although they say commissioned one-off pieces are alright.) The Crewniverse is highly aware of its internet fandom and interacts with them regularly, and doubtless knows there are items of fanwork being sold in small amounts, so if they had an inherent problem with small-scale runs of print/t-shirts/stickers based on SU fanwork, I believe they would have released a statement saying so.Β
To call the selling of all fanwork "just as bad" as selling another person's artwork and taking profit from it is off base imo.

Normally companies will not go after fanart due to the fact it spreads popularity and is free advertising, also if the work falls under any certain categories kirawra.deviantart.com/art/The⦠ I also just made this piece and have been doing research on the steps needed legally to sell my fanart. I have gone to school for design so I need I need to contact the company, I'm just mad some is selling artwork I made and making a profit from it, most likely without receiving a proper license and using my work not approved by me.
