You didn't even notice when it all happened.

Out in the countryside, they didn't even noticed, they couldn't even tell, just when it started happening. It maybe just as well, as everything had been getting unfamiliar in the cities, we thought we would be spared. As the reports kept coming in of bizarre events happening all over the major cities around the United Kingdom. From the bizarre appearances of strange creatures, the sudden disappearances of masses of people in the metros, strange diseases spreading, and out breaks of violence. This isn't even including all the other odd events and phenomenon that had been sweeping across the island. No one knows when it all started, but it had only been getting worse.

The people in the countryside thought they were safe. It all started one night, as a strange object descended from the permanent Miasma that had blouted out the sky for decades now. It came down from the hills, it visited everyone's home, no matter how large the distance was between them, it moved swiftly on its many legs. That's what the few people that managed to survive that night told us. "Yes, everyone seems to be asleep." Was all it said, a young boy told me. We did all we could to try and help these people, we looked around and searched for any clues as to what it was or where it took everyone. We couldn't find anything. Soon we were receiving reports that this was happening across everywhere in the countryside. For two weeks, it terrorized the rural people, after that it seemingly disappeared.
