Endless Steel

Trice I have lived, twice as a devil, and only now as a man. I don’t fear death anymore, I welcome her embrace, yet she still is elusive. Promising me the redemption of Christ, yet I know in my deathly still heart that I am not worthy of true absolution until I slay demon of Verdun.

The air becomes thick with the miasma of decay, I stuff my mask with flowers and herbs, the unmistakable stench of death is overwhelming, I try not to think about it much now.

[Crow steel]: *He grabs a hold of his guts and shoves them back into his abdomen, a gasp of pain is let out* If only it was that easy. *he gets up once more* next time, try to go for my head… that might be the trick. *he grabs his sword from the beast’s head, crow steel had managed to kill it on the way down from the bell tower, it in turn had clawed open his stomach.*

It was nearly dawn again, he wouldn’t be able to make to the top of the tower yet again. He was to wounded, to far away from it now. Crow steel walked over to the ledge of the platform and looked down at the city below. With no hesitation he dropped down, to his death, a new cycle, but for now he wanted to rest for the few remaining hours he had in death’s embrace.
