Totem Traits:
Ears - As a Furfrou totem Sherry is able to apply her pet grooming and change her totem cosmetically. She can dye both her hair and fur without damaging it. The trims only last for five days after stylization.
Legs - Canine feet with fur that reaches up to her knees. She will insist on wearing sandals when visiting someone's home to avoid getting their floor dirty.
Tail - A relatively short tail that can be stylized along with the other sections of Furfrou totem.
Ability: Fur Coat - Halves the damage from physical moves.
Move Set:
Thunder Wave [Status] - The user launches a weak jolt of electricity that paralyzes the target.
Cotton Guard [Special] - Furfrou's body glows white, and puffs of cotton appear in around it. The puffs of cotton then disappear in a puff of smoke, and Furfrou glows blue, raising its defense.
Toxic [Status] - A move that leaves the target badly poisoned. Its poison damage worsens every turn.
Wild Charge [Physical] - The user shrouds itself in electricity and smashes into its target. This also damages the user a little.

Sherry is sweet and can shine at social gatherings among people she has befriended. Despite her timid nature she does enjoy having lengthy conversations with others once a topic of interest comes up, and prefers to have one on one sessions with individuals instead of talking in groups. Sherry can endure being among a crowd; however, she will grow anxious the more people are present. She becomes clumsy the more nervous she is and starts to overthink every little action she does. Normally Sherry is not one to approach strangers; however, she will take the initiative and try since she’s working on becoming more social. Sherry is a hard worker and can become a very reliable person who can be entrusted with secrets or private affairs.
While she is quick to warm up to someone Sherry can also become emotional, is easily startled and might cry if she becomes too frustrated. She prefers to keep a lot of things to herself and will let another person be the center of focus during a conversation if possible. She tries to remain optimistic while bottling up her problems for later. Sherry can be easily discouraged, oftentimes causes problems for herself and others because she tends to make assumptions. Sherry is able to appear calm when things go south and tries to make sense of a situation; however, it’s easy for her to become overwhelmed and have a strong desire to run away.
Sherry has a very healthy relationship with her family and while she appreciates her parents both equally, Sherry tends to be more attached to her father. He is the main figure of inspiration to her and is the person who she tries to model after since he is a social butterfly. Sherry takes after her mother, who is an extremely gentle and soft spoken person that seems to possess infinite patience. She sees her older sister as someone who is her best friend, socializing with her whenever she visits their parents home with her own family. It goes without saying that her family isn’t perfect and Sherry has unpleasant interactions with each member from time to time; however, she prefers to focus on the positives.
History:
Sherry has had a generous life, although the result of being sheltered led her to make a few decisions that caused grief to others. As a child she used to be a brat where she would be very persistent until she got her way, sometimes force herself into groups just so she could feel included, and throw fits when she wasn’t happy with a game. Sherry outgrew this foul attitude as she became older, learning to be more considerate of others and practice being an overall pleasant individual; experience she acquired by developing friends throughout her high-school life. Those relationships eventually fizzled out as everyone parted ways into adulthood by taking their own paths.
Her mother’s totem is a shiny Cutiefly, her father’s is a Kricketune while her older sister is a Clefairy. Sherry was born in the region of Kalos near Laverre City, but moved to Unova around ten becaue of her parents careers only to return afterwards. She lost her native accent in the process due to taking "English" classes while only speaking "French" with her parents at home. Both her parents made sure to spend quality time with their daughters in between their jobs, although most of the responsibilities fell onto the older sibling. Once Sherry reached an age of maturity her parents enrolled her in classes to become a flat horse racing jockey. Despite knowing this career path wouldn’t be a good way to bring in a stable income, especially since horse jockeys earn their money if they actually win races, Sherry’s parents still remained supportive of her decision.
Since growing up Sherry has developed a fondness towards horses and dreams of buying her own plot of land so she could raise a few herself and become a racehorse owner. Her father bought Sherry a Rapidash so it could help with her studies and hired a professional jockey in order to take on an apprenticeship. Through her studies, Sherry became knowledgeable on the conditions that are ideal for taking care of a horse and developing a good grasp on grooming. Shadowing the professional jockey Sherry worked at barns, stables and racetracks as a hot walker. On top of her studies she worked as a pet groomer to save money to move out.
Through her apprenticeship she prepared to apply for schooling races in order for her to earn a competitive racing license and oce she completed all of that Sherry participated in multiple races. Unfortunately she struggled to perform well in the competitive space and gave her parents a fright when she fell off her horse one time, nearly being trampled by the other competitors. This incident on top of her parents pressure to change careers nearly made Sherry relinquish her role completely, but she steeled her nerves and worked her way back into feeling comfortable again. It took her a few months to get back into the groove, but she continues to enjoy the thrill of racing. All was not unsuccessful as Sherry did win 1st place in a few contests on occasion.
Sherry was fortunate enough not to worry about paying rent or bills since she lived with her parents. After New Years, Sherry made a resolution to move out on her 24th birthday so she can begin living her life independently. Ideally she wants to start her own business on Harthaven islands without depending on her parents finances, so she’s going to work her way up until she's able to buy her own plot of land. The last thing her father was able to do for her (after begrudgingly accepting the help) was get in touch with another connection and persuade Pascal (a former Reuniclus) to start a side business with Sherry in the meantime. Her parents also requested Sherry to invite them over to the islands during the holidays to which Sherry agreed.

Sherry provides a safe space for the wild pokemon bears that roam the mountains and throughout Harthhaven. Sherry takes in injured and orphaned creatures year-round, providing them with spacious enclosures and quality pokemon care. Sometimes this may even include non-bear themed pokemon when people randomly drop-off of a lost/abandoned pet or she finds a pokemon in the wild that needs help. For transparency, she has a gift shop that sells bear themed items of all kinds so the funds can be funneled directly back to supporting the organization without mixing in with her finances on the ranch.

What began as the cornerstone support of her new life is now becoming a side hobby. Sherry's interest has changed now that she has has had time to do some self-reflection and interact with other villagers. The ranch life isn't the type of business that she wants to spend too much time on anymore. It continues to remain lucrative and bring in wealth; however, Sherry wants to focus on other things. Similar to how she is reconsidering her other career as a horse jockey, Sherry is putting the ranch on the backburner. She shrunk the amount of livestock to having half a dozen pokemon from each stock type and hiring extra employees to manage her business while she focus on her wildlife rescue habitation. Sherry will continue to stay involved with the ranch if a major decision needs to her approval or extra support is needed, although she is now mostly in the background because she believes in her employees. Sherry ensures they are taken care of and paid on time so they can manage the ranch with a positive mindset.
Talents:
Pet grooming. Sherry can clean and take care of cats or dogs hygienically. The results are close to professional handling since she worked in a pet salon for a bit. This also includes trimming and shoeing horse hoofs since she worked on ranches during her training.
Horse handling/horseback riding. In addition to having a racing license Sherry can help tame wild or traumatized horses overcome deep-seated anxiety. She’s not certain if her talent extends to handling other hooved creatures, but she is willing to try if needed.
Wrapping presents. Will always make the perfect folds and make a great presentation. It's pretty, right?
Skipping stones. Sherry tries to find the smoothest flat stone so it bounces far.
Fun Facts:
Her father, Roger the Kricketune, is a Conductor, Pianist and Music Producer. Her mother, Julie the Cutiefly is a theater actress. Their jobs compliment each other, so they have worked together throughout their careers in the fine arts and entertainment industry. From theater to opera shows, to orchestral concerts and musicals, the Lovelace's have weaved a strong social network. They can easily obtain tickets anytime they want and business always find a room for them despite making a last minute reservation. They love attending concerts anytime one springs up in Kalos and would even go as far as traveling overseas if needed.
She began with a single friend when she arrived to the islands. Unfortunately Sherry failed to maintain her other relationships as a result of her repeatedly ghosting people although she is trying to fix that. She believes she has developed new relationships, but her expectations are low.
- Does not use profanity at all, although she can tolerate others using it. Excessive profanity usage will make her uncomfortable.
Sometimes Sherry believes she has extremely bad luck, although she takes full accountability for any mistakes she causes.
Sherry is a closet romance novel enthusiast, but she will outwardly deny it. Although she tries to keep it a secret there is point where she'll have to go out eventually and buy another book. She doesn't want to make it weird though, so she might pretend to be looking for something else.
Sherry has a weakness for sweets and confectionary treats, but will decline any offered to her because she monitors her weight. If she goes overboard then it can prevent her from qualifying in a race. This is due to the weight restriction jockeys have to follow especially since the saddle is added to the number. (Although if you insist... then maybe one bite wouldn't hurt. Or maybe two.)
