Description
Thandie NewtonI drew this mostly in opencanvas, with little touches in photoshop. I think I might have used painter, too. I'm too fickle when it comes to programs. I wish I could combine the features I like into one Master Program. It would make life so much easier.
If this looks familiar, you might have seen it over at Raster . It was in one of the chapters a few months back.

Sweet pic. Very expressive. Reminds me of the old 50s pin-up artists.

I love the hilights on her dress...it makes me think of latex. rowr! I think i could like it even a little better if the tendon on the left side of her neck were a little more well defined. she's so cute!

I ADORE her expression
So full of vitality and spunk
And the fantastic contrast between the pink and green is really pleasing on the eyes too....
As always, your art-tastiness dazzles me, and I am in awe of your faboo-est of talents.
Look, at me >>> <<<<< look, worshipping you already

so very well done... always love your work.
i think im liking the dress here most (not to say the rest is at all bad), it seems so simply shaded and works so effectively. i wish i could do that sometimes. i think i tend to over complicate stiff like that when i try to paint. i get it done, but it lacks the feeling like this has, imo
keep up your great work... tis always a pleasure to see your work.

thank you! i know what you mean, my brain likes to over complicate things too. some times i can quiet my thoughts and sometimes not. and it seems like the harder i try to keep things simple, the more complicated they get. if that makes any sense. i wish i could buy a little on/off switch for my brain.

yes, it makes sense... there is defintiely a type of complexity in simplicity; as contradictory as it sounds
if you ever find an on/off switch for the ol grey matter, lemme know... i could stand to have on as well

Gorgeous as always :]
You've never lost your touch and talent with capturing and accentuating form and features.
Very fun expression; love how that's amplified by the palette you've chosen :] very bubbly, springtime and feminine.
Take care
