A collaboration with the lovely *vk
Tara and I had been trying to collab for a long time.. So when she sent me her beautiful lady (on the left) I was excited to get started. Her piece set the spidery theme and I just tried to make my part fit in with hers. Which is hard, since she and I have really different ways of working. But it was a fun challenge.
Luckily, I happened to have a photo of the same model under the same lighting conditions, but in a different pose. So I looked at that for my primary reference, while keeping Tara's colors and changes in mind. I tried to make them twins, but I think I killed the likeness. Now they are just sisters.
Drawn in Photoshop 6. Well, I used ps6, I think Tara uses ps6 or 7, too.

There were so many new deviations that I want to comment to in my message folder, but your deviation is one of the few pieces that's really worth to take a look on. What I totally like about this piece is the super clear look and the way how the backround perfectly harmonizes with the dresses of these two beauties. I first had to open the picture in fullscreen to see how well and convincing you made their expressions. The left lady looks more thoughtful, but still very straight and present. The right one has a more fierce appearance, so she has the right " bite" and you even can see that, when you risk a closer look. Is this vampire-appearance intended? Anyway nice work with the folds of her dress and the great transition between the two dresses. You just don't recognize the seperation in the centre when you just look on the surface. The shading is absolutely smooth and the whole picture very photo-realistical. Why is the shading of the right lady different form the one used for the left one? I mean maybe it's just imagination, but I think the skin-shades of the right woman looks rougher. Especially her face is more angular. This shape and shading contrasts maybe random, but I the final result builds up a lot of tension through this point. So again a perfect work you made here. FAV!

I love the spidery theme. The colors are amazing in this, The way the dresses seem to blend at the bottom , into the background. My favorite part is the detailing of the hair. On each of the women. Its perfect!

WOW! I just love this. I could definitely see myself turning the page in Vogue and finding this picture. The detail was so intricate I kept examining the picture for more surprises. You two should definitely collaborate more, it works well!

As usual the amount of detail on the faces (specially eyes, lips and hair) and the great highlightning/shading stand out.
The webs give a gothic ambient, but the white dresses counter this feeling, leaving you with a strange feeling... you sense the danger from them, but the white clouds it.

Very beautiful and well done for a collab. The only thing that I've noticed in the difference is the color of their skin. One is bronzier than the other. Overall, I'm intrigued with how well the two of you have worked with one another. Great job and I hope that you two will collab more on other magnificent projects.
