I've been trying to do more themed pieces, instead of works done just for the sake of photo-realism. I don't know that this conveys what I intended, though. I think she may be too cutesy looking. I've got a modified version on my destop, and I think this makes a kinda nice wallpaper. I'm considering releasing it as one, but I'm not sure anyone else is interested in having her on their desktop.

awesome message and result, I'm working with a quote at the moment that's sorta along the lines of this theme, "There is a perception in Western culture that those who are attractive are also imbued with qualities of goodness."

This looks so cool I absolutely adore it her eyes just are so big and stuff it makes her almost look like she's supposed to e like cairng ad then you have the doll/form figure body and it's jsut so cool... *giggle*I love it!

This is sooo true now a days. We all think we should be skinny, wear makeup, etc etc etc. Just like a damn doll! This says so much about our economy and how we look and treat people. You've done it so well. Keep up the good work!

Beautifully done! And it really portrays something too. I'm not sure if this is what you were trying to convey, but it really struck me that this is what girls today think they have to look like. They have to be Barbie. Anyone who does not have the perfection of a doll is considered, even if only in their own eyes, flawed. Without the almond-shaped eyes, perfect hair, full and pouty lips, teeny waist, and ample bust, who would buy Barbie? Prepackaged, the perfect title, because it's true that that is what everyone tries to be now, prepackaged, the norm, blending into the "perfect beauty" to look like everyone else and be accepted. A scary but revealing truth of the society of today...

It's a great piece, but I think that the message that's being sent here is overused, and that Christina Aguilera is the wrong target. I really like how you used an "art doll" as opposed to a barbie or marionette, it adds a nice touch. Call me what you will, but I happen to like Ms. Aguilera's spanish language album (from whence this image most likely came from) and it's my belief that she has made a worthwile contribution to popular music by attempting to bring non-english language albums into the mainstream. A better target, although used to the point of nausea would be Britney Spears, who I believe to have a much worse affect on popular culture than Ms. Aguilera by supposedly promoting chastity while sending the entirely opposite message with her dress and behaviour. Her influence is much more dangerous in my opinion. I apologize if you feel that I'm lecturing. The artistic value of the deviation is very high.

whew, alright, now that im breathing.. its almost sad. think about it, thats a person, just like you or me, and she is destin to be loved and hated by millions of people, but in a few years everyone will hardly remember her. i side with kurt on the view that popularity/fame just doesnt seem to be that good of a thing. 98% of the time anything that gets big/popular/makin lots o money just turns to shit and looses its roots (if it wasent/hadent already). bands, tv shows, movies, anything. anyway, i wont rant, great piece.
