Here at DA there are many images and series of women turned into gold or other materials
This is a fast render of a beautiful woman that by magic has been turned into a gold statue.
I've used different reflection settings for skin, hair and clothing.
How did she ended here?

She's the wife of the top general of Midas's army. The army lost an important battle so Midas turned the wife to gold, in the pose of his choice, and kept her in his palace as collateral until the war is won. If the war is lost, she will be melted down and used to repay the country's debts. But Midas is falling in love with the statue so if they end up winning it'll be a pyrrhic victory for him. He's working behind the scenes to keep the war going so he doesn't have to give her back and doesn't have to melt her down.

When standing we constantly make subconscious adjustments to keep balanced and upright.
Turned into a statue, without that automatic balancing we'd fall over. That's why statues, mannequins and wax figures are mounted on pedestals.
The story could have the Midas Spell generate an invisible magical force that keeps the statue upright without a pedestal. At least for long enough to have time to affix the statue to a pedestal.

That could be a solution. Or maybe I'll let this one be, as the test it was. Then I can recreate the scene, and give the statue a more balanced pose.
