Description
A relatively quick little portrait of Ville in his snake form. Also, note to self: pointless ornaments around the edges of a picture makes everything better. Always. (That may be a lie.)Black ink (with dipping pen) and watercolors on 14x10 inch watercolor paper.

I feel that pointless intricate ornaments on the edges of pictures often make the piece work better as well, but it really depends on what you're drawing I suppose. Either way, I think this is fantastic and brings up a sense of nostalgia in me. Very nice work

Hey, hey. The ornaments around the edges of the picture aren't pointless, it makes the image appears as if it was in some sort of artistic novel with a lovely border.

First of all, this is beautiful. Second, I'm totally agree with pointless ornaments making everything better.
In fact, I wan't (but can't) desing a tattoo for my forearm with that type of ornaments (maybe a lil' more vintage) coming out of a verse... Could you gave me any tip for that?

I tried using a dip pen. It was HAAARD. Although possibly using rough paper with it wasn't the best idea. >.>
I think the details around the outside work really well, especially because the swallow is sitting on one. That snakedog is sooo cute! I just want to snuggle him.
