Criticism: The tree looks slightly odd. It looks like the branches are without branches. The vulpix's lower body looks disproportionate.

Yeah, agree with ya there. I kinda feel icky on the technique I use to draw such as trees and stuff like that.

Detailed explanation: The bark, too bright for me. Needs a little dark up there too. It's not completely bright even though it's covered by sunlight.
The leaves, too bright yet again, some of the places need a dark areas, you know, the places in which the sunlight cannot reach or touch.
The branches are lacking, if you're going for a realistic tree, if you're not planning to draw the branches, then the leaves should not be drawn, to show that it's higher than the camera's view (out of canvas) If so, you're drawing something like a dwarf tree in lieu, or a shrub with a woody stem.
