Hey everyone~ ♥Just uploading a quick comparison on a sticker design I'll be selling at an upcoming convention! Since the policy towards Fanmerch for Undertale has changed I'll be happily
designing Undertale merch now ahaha!
Since the new rules still state that you are not allowed to sell fanmerch on large-scale online stores (such as Redbubble, Etsy, Storenvy, etc.) these will not be listed in
Coffee and Tea Studio page for purchase.
Main reason for posting: I can't really decide which is more preferred? Flat colors or soft shading? This style of shading is a lot quicker for me to do so it won't be a hassle
I'm honestly curious which style is more popular among fans

soft-shaded! i really love that almost molten dynamic look to it T^T i've been trying to figure out how to do that for a while...

ah thank you! molten huh? That's an interesting way to describe it ♥
It's actually a really lazy/simple way of shading! I'll make a layer over my base colors, set it to multiply, fill the layer with a darker blue/purple/or other tint,
and erase the parts of the shadow that I think the light would make most contact with. After that, lock the layer's transparency and use an airbrush on lower
density with a darker tint of the same shadow color and darken the edges where the shadow makes contact with the light!

The stickers came in and the shading looks surprisingly really good on the sticker ahaha~ I'm really relieved
that people still seem to like the non-shaded style though >< Since I've never really been confident that my
drawing style matches flat colors qwq

For a drawing I'd say the second one but if you're gonna print 'em out and make physical stickers I'd say the first one might be better.
