Practicing my rusty watercoloring.I photographed myself for Cid's pose, and Vincent's was what I logged in my short term memory as I posed in a mirror and then rushed to the paper. Only he has more shape than I do.
The roses... well, the symbolism sounded good and it looked pretty great in my head. But not too happy with how they came out.
(If you haven't figured it out this is an intended yaoi pairing, so if you don't like, bitch elsewhere).

Watercolors on A3 watercolor paper, grey ink pen, red gel pen. Lots of patience. Minimal swearing.

I swear this pic gives me a feel of them being bounty hunter company or undercover cops or something XD Except Cid likes using a spear instead of guns. Absolutely love seeing you draw these two.

I like how 3D this is. Nice anatomy and eye-pleasing lineart, the chain shows motion (Vincent's hand looks great on the gun), the folds are well placed and the details are lovely. I don't understand why Cid wrapped his spear or what, but looks fine.
My personal favorite part in this pic is the shading of Vincent's hair.
The symbolism of the roses beats me, instead I imagined they fight against them and it made me chuckle.

Thanks. In Advent Children his spear is wrapped. I ended up referencing that.
The roses - the website I was researching them from (because I have no clue at all about flowers) said that 11 of them symbolize long lasting friendship/love. But now I just looked and I got different results, hah... And red and white roses mean unity (I think that mean both red and white roses though).
But I like your idea better. Fight them roses!

I don't think it's huge, but there is a fanbase that's pretty established. I suppose checking the groups would be the best way to determine how big it is. Good luck on the artist alley! What area would you be in if you're able to?

Ah, I'd probably be looking at London or Birmingham in England, but at the last anime expo I went to in London, I was told by the artists there that artist alley tables aren't allowed to offer fanart any more, so I'll have to look into that.
