Description Once upon a time, a prince was walking in the woods when he heard a mystical tune, sung by the most beautiful voice he had ever heard. The song was entrancing yet strangely lonely. Slowly he was pulled in by its melody and traced it to its source. There, sitting alone in a tree, was a beautiful maiden.

“Who are you?” he asked
“I am the fairy of this tree. And who are you?” she replied, surprised a human was able to see and hear her.

And that was the beginning of this fairy tale romance. The prince took her back to his castle and they lived happily ever after. The end.

WOW, that has got to be the cheesiest, most classical fairy tale plot u’ve ever heard!!! I can’t believe I even posted that! But that was what I was thinking the whole time when I was drawing this picture. I’m a huge fan of fairy tales, and have grown up watching those Disney cartoons and dreaming of similar dreams.

I’m sorry for the late work, I have been having exams. Hope this makes up for it. Sorry for the cheesiness…… and dressing them in weird costumes I made up myself. (Practising the frills)

I once had this book but it was stolen from me and I can't remember for the life of me who wrote it - but there was a fairy tale in it that I will never forget.

It is along the same storyline as this pic. There was a prince and he had this tree on his balcony. It bloomed and held the birds when spring came. He was being forced to look for a bride and in his sadness at such a prospect, he started to dream of a girl.

She was beautiful and came to him when the moon was high. She would sing to him and ease all his sorrow but when he was close to waking she would disappear.

It comes about that he learns that the girl he has fallen in love with is the tree sprite inside the little tree on his balcony. One night he pretends sleep and then he wraps his hand through her long tresses and snags her for his bride.

It was a lovely story. Thank you for reminding me of this.

Whoaaa! What story is that??? What's the name and author? You've really triggered my interest! Now I feel like I wanna go read it.... Fairy tales are timeless legends huh. But I've never heard of this one. Guess I'm more Disney oriented?? Kinda limited in that sense.

I would love to know what fairytale it is myself. I once had this collection of fairy tales from all around the world. You had to buy each book every once and a while. I had most of it, but it was all stolen from me and I never saw the books again. I have no idea who the author or title even was.

I researched it online and got no where.
