I can imagine what it's like to change your ways but still nobody likes you, much like what happened to Starlight Glimmer and Diamond Tiara in this drawing.
It's NOT pointless to keep trying to prove you're worthy of sticking to your reformation, the people you wronged in the past that still don't forgive you may not want to be your friends but new friends can come from just about anywhere else. There's no point in quitting, which is all I know for sure.
