"A mort lunaire, which is a species entirely separate from humans. They feed off negative emotions of other creatures (mainly humans) and need it to sustain themselves. They are entirely immortal, but feeding of the negative emotions of other creatures gives them their physical strength. They can shapeshift, but always appear monochromatic and semi-transparent, becoming almost entirely invisible further down. They have the power of killer touch, which means any living thing that they touch (other than other of their kind) will die instantly upon contact. There aren't many in the world, and often go undetected by humans, but when they are, they're usually mistaken for ghosts. "
