Ophélie considers herself extremely hilarious, especially when no one can understand her. She often makes sassy remarks in her native tongue, and refuses to translate what she says. Despite that, she has a bleeding heart and dislikes seeing people in pain, physically or emotionally. She also tends to be curious about unknown things, which has lead her to dabble in small bits of magic, learning it from the journal of her late creator. She is also very excitable, be it about a successful spell or a new bad movie, she enjoys a lot of things in life. You would think being a gargoyle, she would have an endless amount of patience, but she gets very impatient and losses interest in things quickly if it doesn't offer her anything. Also, while speaking English, she tends to be very blunt about things she does or doesn't care for, be it an article of clothing or a piece of lettuce stuck in someones teeth.

H I S T O R Y :

She didn't start out as a living creature of stone, that would be weird. She was part of the many gargoyles that were constructed on Notre Dame, and at that time many people known as magicians were living there. Raymond Daruszka was the magician responsible for her animation, as he was creating a spell that would allow him to create life out of any material. She was one of his experimants that actually worked, and he took her under his wing and treated her as if she was his own child. She adored the old man and vowed to protect him from harm. However, her vow was for naught, as her father figure had many enemies in the city. One of them had challenged Raymond to a magic duel, the price of it being one of their lives. He knew about Ophélie's vow and left in secret, telling her nothing. She found out soon enough, after the enemy had reduced her only friend and father into ashes. She took it upon herself to kill the man out of fury, tearing him apart on the same day. Without a purpose, she took a few valubles and personal belongings and left Paris. With some difficulty, she hid herself in cities in shame, adjusting to the ever changing society and the customs. Ophélie enjoyed it after a few years, making few friends and discovering herself along the way. She loved the evolution of video games, but she was still a fan of retro gaming. She found a permanant residence at the city of Northern Mirage, finding a job at the local Blockbusters and making a calm life for herself.

C U R R E N T :

She works at Blockbusters and lives in a small apartment, a place full of oddities from her long life including ugly statues and a few old books with yellow pages.
