Oh this is cool! I really like Eureka 7. Its sort of reminds me of Evangelion for some unknown reason, but I have come to expect such high quality work from those people at BONES.

Probably because of the young age of Renton reminds you of Shinji. Though thankfully, Renton isn't surrounded by horrid people so he doesn't turn out the same way.

perhaps that is why Eureka 7 reminds me of Eva but, I think that it has more to do with all the strange things that happen, like when Renton has that "dream" inside the LFO mine. I never really thought about Shinji being messed up because of the people around him, but I suppose that is true. I like Renton because he somehow sees to break the mold of the stereotypical angsty boy mecha pilot.
