Something I threw together on the spot.

Flutteryshy watched in horror as her longtime friend plummeted to the ground. Panic rising within her as Rainbow Dash fell from the sky, a trail of broken feathers lining her path to the ground. Fluttershy quickly realized that Rainbow wasn't going to recover in time and started to fly over in an attempt to catch her before she hit the ground.

But, it was too little too late. A cloud of dust and dirt flew up from where Rainbow had hit the ground. "OHMYGOSHOHMYGOSHOHMYGOSHOHMYGOSH." She gasped out as she flew over to where Rainbow had hit the ground. As she she the crater left when Dash had hit the ground she resisted the urge to break down and cry. "I need to be strong." she thought out loud. As she landed by the crater she galloped over the Rainbow Dashes body and check to see if she was still alive.

She moved her ears closer and closer to Rainbows mouth, hoping to hear breathing. But she didn't hear anything. She suppressed another wave of extreme panic, and then she placed her ear on Rainbows chest. She focused for a few seconds. not hearing anything. She began to panic. She placed her ear against Rainbows chest once again, desperately hoping to hear a heartbeat. She had started to faintly cry when she heard a faint Thump-thump. Her heart leaped in her chest as she heart the faint sound again.

Fluttershy quickly realized that Rainbow needed help and more help than she could provide. She need to go for help, but she couldn't leave Rainbow alone in this condition. Fluttershy tried shouting "help me." She waited a few moments for a response that didn't come. She tried again, also without response. She choked up slightly, fear started to well up inside of her. 'Rainbow is going to die. and there's nothing IU can do to help her. I'm so scared.' She thought to herself. Immense fear started to overwhelm her then i finally snapped in a shout that reverberated throughout the forest and Ponyville. "HELP ME!!!!!"

Twilight Sparkle heard the shout as well as most of Ponyville. They came running to her aid, and they took Rainbow to the hospital. Fluttershy insisted on staying by Rainbows side at all times, saying that she really wanted to be there when she woke up.

Three days later a nurse came in and told Fluttershy "She's suffered from some very serious injuries, it could be months before she wake up, if she wakes up at all. Fluttershy became filled with a sense of dread at the nurses statement, "I would still like to be with her, if that's okay with you."

Days passed into weeks, and weeks into months. until 6 months later. Rainbow condition had deteriorated quite badly. Until one day her heart beat started to fluctuate badly. A nurse was in the room with them when Rainbows heart just stopped without warning. The nurse called for emergency assistance. Fluttershy was escorted out of the room by the same nurse.

Four hours had passes since then and Rainbow still hadn't been allowed back in. Until the next day when a nurse came and told her that she could she Rainbow again. She walked slowly into the room and saw Rainbow hooked up to even more machines than she was the day before. "Rainbow Dash. Please come to us." Fluttershy said to Rainbow, "We need you. please come back." She began tearing onto Rainbows cyan blue coat, staining it. "Please don't leave me Rainbow. I love you."

She would've felt a slight stirring from the bed and a slight groan from it's occupant had she not been crying. Rainbow pulled the oxygen mask off her muzzle and rubbed her hoof through the pink mane of the butter colored pegasus. She jumped slightly at the sudden contact and looked straight into the eyes of Rainbow Dash and she heard her say "Took you long enough, you silly filly." Fluttershy leaped with joy at her friends awakening. and would've glomped Rainbow, but she stopped Fluttershy from it. "How about a kiss instead?" Fluttershy blushed at the question.

A nurse walked in to see why Rainbows vital signed had suddenly spiked. She saw the two pegasi with their lips locked and decided 'Maybe later. I'll let them enjoy themselves.' and she slowly walked back out of the room. Leaving the two lovers to their embrace.
