This is how I spend my sunday evening... hum... But I got to say: this was FUUUUN! *bright eyes* Hope you like it!
Anatomy is not my best tonight, just treat it as a FANTASY creature

Absolutely beautiful!
This has an amazing effect at first site. The light guides my eyes to all the right places, and your technique on the made and water make a lovely fluid, but electric, pattern. I can really feel the force and energy within the painting.
I love your use of detail in the upper levels of the painting. And you haven't gone into detail in areas that the viewer isn't focused on. Which is always more fun to look at. You've also allowed for a lot of space for the viewer's mind to... 'Fill the gaps.'
The sharper light outlining the fish is perfect! It makes them visible without centering them in the image. Really good!
Your use of colour is also amazing. Something I've always wanted to master is that sort of multi-lens mix that you've achieved with that little bit of blue.
The only improvement I could suggest is to add just a bit more detail to the lion's face, it's the only area where the blur is immediately obvious.

Ok to start i am not the best artist/critic,but i will give it my best shot.
Over all this is a very well made piece.
No obviously the coloring is spectacular.The light effecs are profecionaly done.The desing of the big deamon/lion thing, is very well made,you can tell what its supposed to look like,and yet the way its drawn/colored you can also tell that its supposed to be a sort of spirit being(i think).
Honestly i have to miner issues with it,but both are more like personal pet peeves.1.One the fish seems odd to me.like its too 2D and it kinda sticks out to me.2.Some of the lines kinda stick out in the water.Like they look like stains of hair to me.

I really liked her at the beginning and of course her character concept is briliant, but the stories start being more about her than anything else... Deveoping the new doctor would be a nicer focus...

How I paint linelessSooo... I was asked by Rainsig to make a tutorial on how I paint lineless and not have the sketch shine through. This turned out more as a commented speedpaint, but I hope you´ll still like it.
To my fellow germans:
Please let me know whether this video is blocked to you even when you view it in this journal! If it is I´m going to upload a version without music just for you
!I did say the brush had to be set to "pressure opacity". That´s true, but there is not always a dynamics panel, as in gimp/ps. The important thing is that your brush´s opacity changes with more or less pressure!
Additional tips:
Use reference!Get your self a second screen. I use my tablet and usually have got google images open on it when I paint.Use a square brush from time to time. It helps to break up the round brush pattern. (and/or use textured brushes)Get gimp. If you don´t have photoshop- get gimp. It´s totally free but the basics are the same.

I used to have problems when removing the lines when i tried to paint line less at first but by now i paint on top of the sketch with pressure opacity so step by step lines and sketches vanish. On this one i didn't even do a line sketch. Just laid down a basics grey shape and the started shading it with greyscale. Then i coloured it....
