Description
Well since I did a discussion about Sky from the canon version, I thought it would be fair to compare it to the re-write I made a while ago.
WARNING: MAJOR SPOILERS if you haven't read them yet!
Ep. 1: Just like in the canon, she was great in her debut with her great skills and leadership (which she admits that she believes in her team). However, we discover that she has brought something with her, a DVD, that would play a big part in the finale. We also learn that she learned the art of weaving (even though we don’t see it), but has never built anything in her life before. Though her idea was a good one since they had the stuff for it.
Ep. 2: Also like in the canon, she said that if her team didn’t start winning that she wouldn’t get to the finale. Again, that does sound a little selfish, but she mentions desperately that she needs the money (more than any other contestant ever); and she sounds serious about it. Besides that and getting hit with grease (unlike the canon), nothing has really changed here; since this episode had almost no changes at all.
Ep. 3: If you read my other discussion, you know that I already talked about the interactions with Sky and Dave here. But there is more to that. While Sky was defending Sammy from Amy, Amy insulted her; which made Dave so mad that he vows to get even with her. Now there’s a guy who would do anything to keep the one he loves happy! Also, Sky has this strange feeling that she has met Scarlett somewhere before (like how Duncan knew Mike; but in a happier way).
Ep. 4: Sky had more to say before her dare. She (and Dave) had a nice talk with Jasmine, she (along with Dave and Shawn) still defended Sammy by saying that she is better than Amy, and she finally realizes that the Scarlett competing with her is the same one she met and made friends with back in the 5th grade; though Scarlett has no memory of that. She is also worried about not getting the million if she wins (thanks to what Topher said). Sounds like whatever she needs it for, it’s very urgent. Luckily, Dave promises to help her; which she is grateful for.
Ep. 5: Unlike the canon, we get to know a little bit more about Sky’s sister (who I named Misty since we never knew her name either) and she was the reason why Sky wanted to become an Olympic athlete. That’s how the writers should have done it! Her friendship with Scarlett starts to go an opposite direct as well when she sees her cheat. We also got to see her score a win for her team in full since we saw nothing but her placing a padded stick next to the others. Unlike the writers, I do care about her ; just like all the other characters that they tried to screw up over the years. Also, she was the most emotional about what happened to Sammy’s dad. Is there a connection there?
Ep. 6: Although she already improve at this point instead of starting to, she has gotten better and has gained a new friend in Ella after what Sugar has done to her. So yet, not much has changed for her here either.
Ep. 7: In the canon, this is her best episode. Here, it’s just the tip of the iceberg. She finally admits that she loves Dave after he saves her from some bats, makes her laugh, and even saying that she is beautiful. At this point, she wants to tell him about her plans since she kept it a secret. She also escapes an escape from the outhouse; which gave her her first solo victory. And she is greeted by her new team; even from Scarlett who seems to remember her now. Or does she?
Ep. 8: Like in the canon, it was Jasmine’s fault for putting a wedge between Sky and Dave’s relationship. So much for making a new friend there. It is also the reason why Sky voted for her when they lost. Her friendship with Scarlett is almost over after being so mean to her throughout the challenge. But at least she found a new friend in Topher and learns that he isn’t the annoying guy that everyone thought he was. Though I didn’t ship them in the re-write, I could see potential if they do in the canon version in the future.
Ep. 9: A horrible episode replaced with an original one; which is how you are supposed to kick a character down when things go wrong. Sky admits to voting for Jasmine and her love for Dave starts going the wrong way now. To make it even worse, she ends her friendship with Scarlett, saying that she is evil, and feels guilty about it. But the worst of all was when she insulted Shawn, Jasmine, and Sugar’s ideas for the money without meaning it and, like the writers should have done; mentioned that she has another boyfriend now instead of the finale. Dave now hates her (as well as everyone else) and quits in a fit of rage. He even manages to break her heart by saying something really hits her deep down. Before crying herself to sleep, knowing that she is about to lose, Scarlett returns and reveals her TRUE nature and captures her. Things do look bad for her!
Ep. 10: We thought that Scarlett was evil this whole time, but Sky found out that she had brought a crate with her; which contained another Scarlett. But this Scarlett was the REAL one that remembers Sky and the evil one was a defected clone she made. Scarlett gives Sky some comforting and encouraging words to make her feel better and also fights side-by-side with her against the clone. And before she is eliminated, she gives her a new dress as a sign of them being together again. Now that’s true friendship right there! Although everyone else still hates her. That is until…
Ep. 11: Sugar, out of nowhere, now forgives Sky (now in her new dress for the rest of the season) for what she has said. But she is actually lying so she can get rid of her. Sky is outraged to find out that Sugar has been cheating the whole season and vows to get rid of her instead. But not before she finds out that Shawn and Jasmine have forgiven her for real and start their friendship all over again. And it shows when Sky and Shawn tie for the win. Winning is better with a friend by your side!
Ep. 12: OK, Sky did begin to act like a competitive jerk like in the canon; maybe even worse. But it was Sugar’s words that got the better of her. Luckily Shawn was able to snap her out of it. She then reveals her DVD to him; saying that what was on it is what she is her for, but doesn’t show him. They do share some laughs and do work together to think of a way to beat Sugar. And instead of belching, Sky performs Rhythm Gymnastics for the first time in honor of her sister and performs it very well. Now this is what we SHOULD have seen her do in the canon!
Ep. 13: Now THIS is her best episode yet! She is teamed up with Scarlett and Dave (even though he refuses to help her). Sky also tells Scarlett that she wishes she could split the money between the three of them. But the biggest surprise of all was when her DVD is exposed and it turns out that Sky wanted to break up with Keith for trying to kill her sister and she needed the money to pay for the operation that will save her. This was my idea that I had before her real plans were revealed in the canon. Now Dave feels bad about what he has done and wants to make sure that Sky can save her idol. And her sister calls in and mentions that she only needs ¼ of the money and the rest can go to her and her friends. And whether if she won or Shawn won, Sky gets the money and is able to save Misty’s life and the two of them have an emotional reunion. Now THIS is how you end a season!
Aftermath: Though her story is already over, Sky still wants to do more. She competes in a series of challenges; for fun this time, makes some more new friends with the previous two generations, and she also celebrates her 17th birthday with the whole cast. She is even dubbed a princess by Ella as a birthday present. Sky said that she had the best birthday ever! And just like that, the SERIES is over!
This is the Sky I will always refer to until they can fix her in the canon; which at this point with the writers, I doubt. She has improved so much and remains that way, has made a lot of friends AND still succeeded (like Gwen),and it’s these reasons and this project that makes her my new #1 Favorite!

I would ask if you had plans, but I assume it involves Infinity 3.0.
