I can tell by your name you're not a fan of this sort of thing, but just to answer your question, the reason she's portrayed as larger if simply because some of us find that appealing. There's no cause as to why that is, but the idea of a woman being bigger and softer is to us what a thin, muscular, or just busty woman would be to someone else. Simply put, she's cute to us, and that's why the artist drew her that way. I hope that helps

Going back is still going forward, just in a different direction. If, in the context of walking, you are going forward and then turn around and continue going, are you going back? No, you're still goingΒ forward. If, however, you mean going back in the sense of walking backwards, then you are going back down a familiar path, however with everything else going forward, it leads to more danger, as you don't know what has changed and what might be in the way, as your back is turned. I love this scene, with Rias looking back at you with a teasing glint in her confident expression. Side tie bikinis are very very lewd and Rias is here to show us why. Her butt is delightfully meats, her back fat enticing, and her breasts a little saggy and pokey. Nice.

All that symbolism was uh, intentional, yes totally.
Side ties are indeed made for this very purpose, it's the ribbon wrapped around a present, it's meant to be unwrapped.
