Great shot, Olga. Really shows the amount of work that goes into making one of these things.
Musical instrument making is one of the few areas one of my hobbies - wood carving - is still extensively used.

I am fascinating by this profession! Building of musical instruments is so misterious though it's based on calculations! However there is a lot of intuition and inspiration! Musical instrument makers (or rather masters or architects) are real Artists!

no matter dear! Viol is rather early music instument (16-18 cc)...it has 6 strings (sometimes 7) and there are frets on the fingerboard..as in guitar
