Another Jeanette picture edited by myself. When I did this, I had the Cover for the 2004 video game Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines in my mind, hence the posture aswell as the ankh in the background. I wanted to clearly reference the original cover artwortk without copying it, hence the simple background instead of the so famous nightly street view.

I am really in love with the Jeanette pictures, so I hope you don't mind me spamming them. But don't worry, I got plenty of other things already in my collection, and I will share them soon too, not to mentione all the looks I already shot but still wait for the final edits by the photographers.

In case you care: when I say, I 'edited' the picture, for the most I am fixing the colour look of the whole thing, like intensifying some colours (like the blue of the skirt for example) while desaturating others (such as the skin. I am a very pale human, but for vampire pictures, a bit of PS seems just fitting. ), changing light and shadow a bit, intensifying contrasts where needed, slight skin correction - so all in all lots of minor things that turn a simple photo into a cool cosplay picture.
Sometimes, especially for cosplays of videogame characters, my body or the way the fabric flows will slightly be reshaped to fit the game aesthetics better. I think especially in cosplay, there is no shame in slight changes like that, since the bodies of characters from videogames, comics, manga and such are literally impossible to achieve without that.

But at least to me, it is very important to stay recognizeable as a person, meaning I don't want possible "body changes" with photoshop to turn my body into something entirely new and unrecognizeable - which is very important if it comes to face edits. Some photographers have a thing for 'fixing' chins to the point where they alter the whole bone structure. Not a fan of that kind of thing... ^^'''
