Let's have a little break from glamourus vampires and instead, allow me to present you a very dear project I was allowed to partake in.
The most amazing Joey has a long running portrait series where he tries to channel - and capture - old germanic/celtic ambience in its very essence. It was an incredibly cold, but equally interessting, even fascinating and fun afternoon we spent shooting this project together and I have to admit I feel nothing less than honoured he trusted me to express the pride and strength associated with our ancestors aswell as some degree of vulnerability you might see in the second post from this set.
So I hope you enjoy what we came up with, because I for one am mesmerized by Joey's final results!

Oh, and since I am a historian in every day life, allow me to include a little fun fact: the Treverer were the celtic tribe that inhabitated my home region about 2000 years ago. The short time capital of the (north western) Roman empire, Trier, got its name from this very tribe since the romans called it "Augusta Treverorum".
Given that my family wasn't all too keen of travelling long distance for several hundreds of years as it seems, I most likely hold some degree of kinship to this particular tribe. Hence I decided to borrow their name to share this set.😅
