Haha, check out this Bad Pun!! That is what I'm all about. Anyways, here's my entry for 's create a partner contest!! I was stuck between a few holidays since I had a few ideas with a few different species, but in the end I went with a Tanabata based Dayzee, Hanabata (it's a pun on hana, the japanese word for flower and tanabata of course). I think the whole basis of the chapter would be based off the story of Orihime and Hikoboshi, though details on that I still have to iron out. Designing her was fun though!! For Tanabata, I wanted to go with a plant based creature, since the tanzaku is hung on bamboo!! And I was going for a somewhat star shaped look with the petals, but it didn't work out exactly since I wanted to keep it simple and Dayzee's only have four petals. Trying out drawing the Paper Mario style was pretty fun though, I should try it more often. *v*

Her abilities I have thought on a bit, I think out of battle her singing ability that all Dayzee's have would come of use, though for what I haven't figured out yet. In battle, she has two singing attacks, one regular one that does damage, and another that puts the enemies asleep for a little. Also I think it would be cute if she had an "attack" that restored HP (at the expense of some decent FP of course), something along the lines of the Wish move in Pokemon!! Which is fitting considering the Tanabata theme. That's probably where the tanzaku really gets put to use! I would also love to utilize those Dayzee tears from SPM!!
