thank you...in my experience really good art (any kind) has only one common attribute...lots of commonly interesting information (of any kind) ...mechanical style is my favourite because I'm in total control of this pack of information and nothing is left to chance (like working with colour and shade)...other than that...mech requires almost no inspiration to start with..make a simple line and it will inspire a second line and it inspires a third and after that it's only a matter of choosing which way to go.

Nice!
These remind me a little of the doodles I used to do while I was working as a telephone operator. Yours are a bit more coherent and beautiful, but I assume you weren't drawing over randomly scribbled phone numbers while speaking to 60+ irate idiots and hour!
I made use of a huge collection of them by scannning them into my PC and turning them into seamless tiles - the only thing of any value I got out of the job - must post a few of them now you've reminded me . . .

hehe...I used to work as a telephone operator for a month and did some great drawing during that time..a really great job for drawing...you get to let off steam AND create shit in realtime.

3 years!?! damn.. are you ok? I would have committed suicide or worse.
you must have had quite a party afterwards.
actually prison is much less destructive than working a really mindless job for free.
...but you do get free time for the afternoon...and a wonderfull time it is, contrasting
all the shit you did before that.

LOL - a month is just about long enough for any sapient being!
I did a sentence of three years . . . I say sentence, but that's being a bit unfair on our legal system - I've often considered that if I'd just stolen the money I earned as a slave of the phone company, spent it and then got caught and imprisoned, I'd very probably have been out again (first offence, non violent, good behaviour, etc) in less time than I actually spent in that soul destroying job!
Anyway, I must have about 1000 seamless background tiles made in photoshop from my operator doodles (made after the fact as part of my self-started art therapy while getting over having done the job so long!)
But will have to find a more efficient way of putting them up here than the one at a time by the usual DA 13 step procedure!

some of these chaotic fractals
are not chaotic at all,
instead just a little too special for the
number line.
explore.
boundaries.
or lack thereof.
beautifully illustrated concept of mixing
art and mathematics.

that's really nice to hear...since I think of art as the way of describing the universe...just like math...art of numbers...and not many things gets more abstract than math.

The amount of detail this has is fuckin' awesome, especially the middle-ish one. Good color choice, too.
