Luigifan: The giant monkey head that appears out of nowhere in the easy path ending? Yeah, that is kinda creepy. But the video game thing that scared the hell out of me as a kid was the game over sequence of Banjo-Kazooie. Ugly Ogre Tooty... whoof! I couldn't stand the sight of it! And the way she threatened Banjo... That seriously haunted me bad. I'm over it now, but I remember having to run out of the room and hide every time I ran out of lives in that game.
Flora: Hmph. That's tame, Luigifan. My siblings and I actually helplessly watched as our parents got torn to pieces by the Dastardly Pack. And then I was taken captive by the Ant God. Now that was a nightmare...

Cosmo: Well, like how are they, are they doing good, why haven't we ever seen them? Stuff like that.
Matt: Well, they're pretty much bog standard people. No superpowers, no hyper intelligence, just plain and simple people. There's nothing really to say about them. Ones works on cars, the other does computer related things, they fight a lot, don't like video games much, and pretty much act like all other parents. I dunno, I don't remember their phone number anymore. In fact, I never DID remember it.
Cosmo: Soo... Neither was a mimic?
Matt: Nope.
Cosmo: So you just randomly had superpowers?
Matt: Maybe. I never really saw my older sister since she moved out before I was born.
Cosmo: ...
Matt: What were you expecting something more exciting?
Cosmo I was expecting an answer! Everyone but you has a distinct reason for how they got their powers! The Annie uses a magic necklace, Margaret got lightning from becoming an astral, and yet we STILL have no idea how you got mimicry powers, when the only other person with that power has an exact and viable reason for it!

Randy: Um... Speaking of dangerous and horrifying predators? Has anybody warned Tori about the Myth-Eater?

*flashback* (This is a yet-to-be-posted scene in "Library Work", taking place after Necrodeus's defeat.)
Randy: *chatting with Thomas* So, how are you and Kimono doing?
Thomas: We're fine. It still amazes me how devoted that woman is...
Randy: No kidding. And, the reason I ask is, I've heard reports of a new monster arriving in the world that could pose a severe threat to her safety.
Thomas: W-what?!? What is it?
Randy: Apparently, it's a carnivorous plant that lures its prey - including kitsunes, but not ordinary Mobians for some reason - to it using a sweet aroma and hypnotizes them with its flowers. Then it seizes them with its vines, drugs them with its nectar, and pulls them into its mouth.
Thomas: ._.; That... That's horrible...
Randy: Agreed. It doesn't seem like something that would evolve naturally - my guess is that it was created by some perverted insane scientist or wizard with a pathological hatred for supernatural beings. I'm tempted to suspect that it's the work of Andross, but if it was, Mobian foxes would probably be susceptible to it... But for some reason, it's only kitsunes and other supernatural creatures that get drawn in by its aroma. Ordinary people - hell, even people with superpowers - find the scent pleasing, but aren't compelled to follow it to its source. That only happens to supernatural beings. It's all very strange.
Legault: That doesn't include vampires, does it?
Randy: I don't know, but I doubt it. Undead are basically inedible.
Legault: They're still organic!
Randy: And pretty much already dead. I think anything that ate an undead would get sick.
Legault: Pathogens can't live in a vampire's body!
Randy: Legault, I'm quite sure that monster plant doesn't prey upon vampires! Even if it theoretically did, vampires are immune to all forms of magical compulsion and all forms of mind control, both magical and mundane, not generated by a vampire of higher rank. Lily was only outranked by Dracula himself. She's completely safe.
Legault: ...Oh.
Randy: The monster plant does, however, probably prey upon werebeasts and elves, so we should warn Matt so he can keep Tori safe... and the Natchrallis have a bit of elven blood, we should let them know as well...
Thomas: That's not much comfort!!! What about Kimono?!? How am I supposed to protect her from that thing?
Randy: Sightings of that monster have been pretty rare, and all of them recent. I don't know much about it yet - I may need to study it myself. The best advice I can give is, if you see Kimono walking off into the woods in a daze, make sure you follow her and snap her out of her trance, or you may never see her again.
Thomas: Actually, I'm gonna go and warn Kimono about this right now...
Kimono: *walking up to Thomas, looking rather worried* Actually, there's no need. I overheard the entire conversation... *Kimono shudders in fear and disgust.* I really don't want to ever encounter that thing. If it nabbed me, I'd be done for...
Thomas: ...Then I'll just have to make sure to keep you close, so if you do run afoul of that monster, I can rescue you.
Kimono: ...Thank you, Thomas.
Randy: Awwww.
Legault: ...I'm going to go and warn Lily...
*end flashback*
Margaret: o_e; And Tori doesn't know about this?
Randy: Not that I'm aware of. Not that it'd help her if she did. Supernatural creatures literally cannot resist the scent of its nectar without some sort of external influence shielding their minds. One whiff, and they are entranced and compelled to follow the scent to its source. If Tori ever winds up near that thing, she is dead unless Matt or someone else comes to her rescue. And I don't know for sure, but... the same might apply to Tulip, Dandelion, and Horizon. And maybe Entegra and Devin, too.
Rudy: WHAT?!?
Tulip: *whimpers and clings to Rudy*
Lily: You've got to be kidding me!!!!!
Flora: Oh God.
Lillian: *wince* Why would something like that even exist?
Randy: My guess is that somebody really, really hates supernatural creatures and wants them all to die.

Randy: Probably not. He's not a scientist or a wizard; how would he make such a monster? And it does not prey upon demons; if he made it, it probably would.
Legault: Can we just go and check up on Carnation?!?

*Everybody cringes as Luigifan says this, and turns towards him with "WTF?" expressions.*

Margaret: *falls out of the sky unnoticed*
Phillip: Uh, guys? Where's Margaret?
Flora: ...Oh dear...
Cassandra: *tries to catch Margaret, but misses and crashes into the mech*

Margaret: *lands right in front of Randy, who trips over her*
Randy: Oof! ...Margaret? Oh, thank God I found you! Are you all right? *Getting no response, Randy begins to fear the worst, but has his fears assuaged when he finds that Margaret still has a pulse.* So, you're still alive... That's good to know, but I still need to find a way to get rid of the effects of this toxin! Jumpy should still be in the city... *Randy runs off towards what he thinks is the direction of Empire City, carrying Margaret with him, but he is in fact horribly lost. Margaret finds herself silently cursing her inability to just tell Ben to stay still so that Ben and Anya can find them.*

Yes, this is building up to the events of Sonic: Lost World. This roleplay just might end up answering the question of why the Extractor was unstable. And yes, the events of the game very nearly kill Tulip, who ends up suffering from the effects of the planet's energy being drained far worse than Knuckles and Amy do. Needless to say, Rudy hates the Deadly Six with a burning passion now, and will try to attack them on sight (unfortunately, they'd kick his ass). Also, Annie pretty much went berserk when Tails was kidnapped, and charged onto the Lost Hex to hunt down the Deadly Six; of course, by the time she reached Lava Mountain, Sonic had already beaten them. (Sonic and Tails are just relieved that Annie never encountered Zomom, as he would probably have tried to eat her.) This will likely come up in future roleplays.

Funny, I just beat that game today. On a slightly unrelated note have you noticed how the leader is kinda like Bowser? I'm surprised It took me so long to start drawing noticeable similarities.(Big, dangerous, conquerors, pointy, have tails, stuff like that.)

Yeah. It's actually because of the similarities to Bowser that the Heroes' League suspects that Zavok might not actually be dead. (Well, that and Eggman's final words before fleeing the Lost Hex.)

Personally I find the belief that they are all dead kind of ridiculous. Zor maybe, seeing as he's a suicidal emo he may have sat in the lava out of laziness. But things in video games go poof when you beat them up all time, what makes people so sure that they probably all died. In context it even makes less sense seeing that they are pretty much okay before the fights. Not like Sonic rolling into things has ever killed anything with a pulse either.

Felicia: No, I haven't seen her all day, not since Flora was abducted- ._o; Oh God...
Randy: *Randy arrives at the same conclusion as Felicia, and begins to panic.* She must have been attacked by one of those wasps! But she wasn't at Bowser's Castle with Flora, Sonja, and Lindsay... Andross must never have picked her up!
Felicia: Oh God... you're right! She's probably stuck in the outskirts of Empire City somewhere, paralyzed and helpless... and she's been there all afternoon!!!
Randy and Felicia *simultaneously*: We have to find her!!!!!
Flora: *Flora peeks out into the hall.* Uh... I'm trying to go to sleep... What's all the ruckus about?!?
Randy: *Randy immediately opens a portal to Empire City as Felicia explains the situation.*
Flora: o_o; Oh no... She must be so frightened... You two get looking, I'll organize a search party and be right behind you!
*Thus, Randy and Felicia head to Empire City. Felicia, being an overall sensible and level-headed woman, immediately heads to the police station to inform them of the situation and get a missing-person search underway. Randy, on the other hand, is in such a panic that he dashes out of the city and into the nearby cornfields, desperately calling Margaret's name.*
