I have counted 29 individuals sunning on this one log alone, all at the same time. Another 8 or so on nearby smaller floating logs...This is in mid-Texas, early April.

I get to see them almost every day now, as they live in a pond at the RV park where my "homeless nomad" soul mate hubby and I are staying in our little popup camper. It's funny... there are so many that there is sometimes a turtle sunning itself on every available log floating in the pond... even ones almost tooooo small!
