I gave this advice to a friend who was similarly having troubles with esk's nature elements: focus on the silhouettes, instead of drawing lines down. Sometimes when you focus on getting the bigger picture out, the little details just fall in line naturally.

that is good advice!!! but, my problem actually tends to be detailing after the silhouette, like, I feel like my tree shapes turn all blobby when I try and draw the leaves in :T
