Description

Relics are physical manifestations of a weapon - they are the soul of the sword. Relics are formed in a moment of great emotion for it's bearer, and retain attributes from it's moment of conception. The sword used by a dying king in a last stand to defend his people, the blade a man used to slit the throat of a his own lover in a fit of madness, a scepter that was forged in the heat of a fallen star.... Relics can take many forms, in infinite combinations, just as the history of any relic has infinite possibilities.

While the Relic itself mostly exists in a non-corporeal form, the weapon remains in physical form. As they say the weapon chooses it's wielder, Relics have some small control over who's hands they end up in. They can choose who they reveal themselves to, such that some Relics have been known to ignore their user, and only pop up after they've determined whether they are worthy of it's sword. Even before revealing themselves, they can nudge a person's psyche, whispering in their ear, or implanting their own emotions. An unease at a particular situation, their joy at finally being unsheathed....

After the Relic bonds with a user, it unlocks a spell or enchantment, a special ability each relic is known for.

I am SO pumped to finally reveal Relics, and I am even more stoked that I somehow convinced to work with me on these. I've been a fan for such a long time, and..... T u T I hope you guys are as excited to see more of these as I am to work on them with FA! <3
