Description
Once space-faring creatures, Starlings were blown off course during a radiation storm. As they fell down to the planet, their "wings" burned up in the atmosphere, and they ended up being trapped far away from each other and their homes. They wander around, trying to find more of their kind, hoping that they will be able to restore their civilization, or even find a way to return to their homeland.

They are characterized by their aether trails, which glow with self luminescence, and taper off toward transparency the longer the trail continues. These trails are constantly in motion, as if they were affected by solar winds, parting around objects that they come in contact with like water parting around rocks in a stream. The older a Starling is, the longer and more luxurious it's aether trails become. It's theorized that they help the Starlings travel through space, although their true purpose will never be known unless they manage to make it out of the planet's gravity.
