Heh, I was figuring out some actual scenarios in which this can happen. But back to the topic, you can draw in your sketchbook when you are seated in the public bus or metro to keep yourself occupied, especially when the journey to your destination is long. Waiting for say, a doctor's appointment can also take up some time too, so another excuse to have more pencil sketches too. xD Just be careful not to lose any stationery (especially not erasers or pencils!) or leave them unattended in such public places!
