I'm nowhere near with colouring to where I'd like to be. It took me ages to find out what I liked and what best technique to use. But that is alright, the road towards is a fun way to expiriment with things and find out what I can do with the tools in the programs I have. Only way to get better with it is when I colour, else I won't improve on it ^^
I think you do a great job with colouring. But I guess that is a feeling. I hope you find that niche and enjoy it all the more when you colour.
