Maybe I'm weird for it but I have always loved Maria, even though she's a REALLY MINOR character from Sonic. I mean, she's already dead before you even hear of her, but from what the games tell you she was a really kind, gentle person, and the memories that Shadow has of her are just so HEARTWARMING I WANNA CRY ;v;Like- dude. Shadow's this depressed, angry, vengeful little hedgehog, but when he was with Maria, none of that was present. SHE WAS HIS WHOLE FREAKING WORLD AND I FIND THAT ADORABLE.
...And I bet a lot of random fans are gonna argue with me now about how Maria ISN'T his whole world because at the end of the 'Shadow the Hedgehog' game he "put his past behind him" and now he's over it, and to you people I say: YOU'RE PROBABLY RIGHT. I'm not trying to say that he should always be MOPING about how Maria died, I just believe that every once in a while he probably still stops and happily remembers days aboard the ARK with Maria in his heart.~ <3
TL;DR - I wouldn't really like Shadow if it weren't for Maria. c)>

premier are better/smoother. Verythin are cheaper with a harder lead and are very similar to crayola. Premiers are aaawwweeessoooommmeee at blending!!!! I hope you like them!

Yeah, Maria's a sad character, and very different from anything else in the series. A very different story. Shadow wasn't always the "bad guy" (if he ever really was).

Though, I have to confess that for the wings I actually had help from a book I found at a yard sale about 'How to draw fantasy creatures', but I just used it as a reference, I didn't actually copy it. (The wings in that book only had 2 layers of feathers... and bird wings were the closest thing to angel wings it had >3>)

I WISH I COULD TEACH YOU THAT WHICH YOU WISH TO BE TAUGHT BUT I'M AFRAID I CANNOT AS I DO NOT KNOW HOW I TAUGHT MYSELF THIS TOPIC OF WHICH YOU WISH TO HAVE ME TEACH.

Hey that's more than alright, I've been using a lot more references myself for drawing stuff. 
It was pouring down HARD yesterday. And I haven't had a braid in my hair for yeeeaaarrrrs- last I had one was before the lice incident back in 07-08 when my 2 foot long hair had to be chopped in half, and I've kept it short almost ever since then. xDDD

I wasn't trying to say that copying something was CHEATING per se, I just meant that that was my design of wings even though I used a reference but copying a realistic thing isn't cheating!! I've barely drawn any realistic stuff either, and one thing I DID draw was a 'still life' picture, where the whole POINT was to copy exactly what you saw in front of you. I did that in... 4th grade??? But it wasn't at my school, it was at an art school with classes you could take during summer or something. ANYWAYS. Did I mention I had to draw it with CHARCOAL. >3>
...I LOVE HOW MOST OF THAT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THE MAIN POINT. >XDDD

WELL hair that long might be nice for yeh, but in my case being as short as I am it went clear past my dairyair, and that can make for some awkward situations if you know what I mean.
