That is an interesting way to look at this piece. My ideas often come from the deepest, darkest corners of my subconscious mind, so explaining the "true meaning" of my drawings is difficult. You might have hit the nail on the head though - I definitely have a bad habit of being the Mom Friend™, I get so busy worrying about other people's problems that I stop taking care of my own. I don't mind going through a little heartache for those in need of support but letting your problems pile up will backfire, eventually.
Anyway, thank you for the comment! It means a lot to me that you took the time to wonder about the meaning of the drawing.
