Description
Lately I found myself to be doing many hooded middle-aged men with top lighting. Could it be that fate is trying to tell me something?
Done for ’s community contest. The original sketch for this one was intricate enough to make me bleed and took about 10 hours alone but in the end I deleted it because destiny had other plans so I made another one and thankfully liked it enough to actually finish it. *gasps for breath*
A full day’s work because my PC wouldn’t start during the holidays and I had to borrow someone else’s. No references/textures/effects as always. I’m dead tired, my hands are shaking, and I had only slept for three hours this morning, so I’m gonna go bang my head on a wall now and hope that you guys like.

This is absolutely the coolest depiction of The Hermit I've seen. Awesome color harmony and and sparing use of highlights keep it in balance well. That, and, the hoodie is badass! I'm a sucker for a decent hoodie.

Well there is a hermit crab, but 'heremiet' is Dutch for 'hermit', I suppose. I looked up that word on an actual set of Tarot cards.

Thanks, I appreciate it. I suppose the strokes could've been better than that because I had originally envisioned some sort of woodcut effect, but the piece was done under extreme exhaustion and so many parts had been overlooked. My bad :<

Yeah, I chose a simple coloring style because I thought the stained glass's patterns in the background were already complicated enough. Glad to know I made the right decision, thank you.
