This was supposed to be the kiriban for 3k hit, then it became 3.5k hit, then 4k hit, and now it's officially 4989 hit.Fire is probably one of the most complex objects I've drawn so far, and since I had decided to use no effects or other tools whatsoever beside digital brushes and eraser, the process was literally painful. But transferring the beauty and dynamic nature of a living flame into static drawing was indeed interesting.

I wish that I could make something like this.
I'm a big fan of digital paintings and this one is really awesome. Especially because you said, that you paint this without using effects by only using brush and eraser.

Actually effects could make painting a lot easier when done correctly, but I suck using them, so to avoid making my paintings look unnatural, I avoid them completely.

Very, very cool and I'll agree that flames are difficult! As an airbrush artist, people are always asking me to do flames. They are somewhat easier to do with an airbrush, but I rarely use them except in a much less-stylized manner in a painting.

I just saw "Ghost Rider" last night and it was okay (completely predictable though). I thought of doing a "Ghost Rider 3000" painting to sort of carry on the tradition - maybe painting him in flames on a Sedgway Scooter.

Yeah, it was okay, but I gotta say, the visual effects done on the flames were really cool. I didn't pay any attention to the story, I didn't even have the volume turned on
