Description
In their first year, Red-Tailed Hawks sport brown, barred tail feathers. Over the following summer, they drop (molt out) those tail feathers, and bright red ones grow in their place! I thought I'd show a "before and after" of my current RTH's tail

Haha we did!! It's so amazing how they shed the brown ones and replace with that beautiful red. He's such a lovely bird!
