I am holding a CREATIVE WRITING CONTEST for this design! To participate, please read below:
The Contest will CLOSE: 5:00:00 PM CST/CDT, Sunday, August 4th, 2019. ANY entries posted beyond this point will be rendered invalid.
To participate in this contest, you must come up with a backstory for this character! Let the design and theme name, "Aquamarine Memories," be within your source of inspiration in some way. Don't be afraid to think outside of the box and approach this from any which way you please! Ocean, night sky, deep caverns, distant hills... LOTS of things are blue! Feel free to give the design a name, gender, siblings, family, abilities, reasons behind its actions, motivation, personality, etc.
Entries will be judged on the following criteria: uniqueness, creativity, development.
Please note: Longer, more complex entries are not necessarily "better" entries. Short entries that are unique, clever and simple could win just as much as longer, complex entries!
Entries are to be made via comment below. Please note that you may only enter once. However, you may edit your comment entry as many times you'd like-- please note, though, that whatever comment you have posted Sunday night at the time of judging will be the entry I will judge. It is your responsibility to have your comment entry ready for judging by the final closing time of 5 PM.

Deep within the darkest forests, laid an unusual creature. This creature glowed of a beautiful color, such as an aquamarine! Getting closer and closer to this creature, it appeared to be a large dog or a wolf that shook river water from its pelt... Upon closer examination it was found that there were quills coming out, dripping the bright aquamarine water, alongside of the glow it held. The eyes of this majestic beast shined bright - almost as bright as the sun yet it did not burn to stare into. These eyes were gentle and caring along with confusion. It wasn't sure where safety was nor why he strayed too far from his pack. He seems sad - longing for a new friend or maybe even a few friends. A new place to call home.
Coming closer and closer to this creature, it was found the Quills were not painful or meant to cause harm. It was a wonder especially how his fur glowed in a sense. It was not truly glowing - only had the appearance of a glow due to the glossy coat it bore.

She travels under the inky blanket of night, her path bathed in moonlight. Stars glitter softly where her paws touch aquamarine streams, a brief memory of a quiet traveler, fading as fast as they appear.

She is a dream giver, a memory taker. She spins the wildest of stories in the minds of those she finds and takes a memory of theirs while they make new ones. They don't miss them. And while it is a somber quest, making others forget, she watches those she meets in their dreams, exploring their imaginations with the most wonderous of smiles gracing their faces.

Creative writing story

The night was quiet, the storms had flown through and the air was still with the moisture of the floods that had passed on across the landscape, but even sometimes the gods weep. On one such night, a god wheat a single tear fell, a shimmering mass of a memory not forgotten and as it hit the surface of a lake caught in the moonlight of the moon, the ripple spanned the entire surface, making the blue algae shine and ripple. The one disturbance and with the Aquamarine Memories, a creature was born into the world.
Dark fur and bright glowing markings that shimmered like the ripples on the water had, a glittering and glowing mass, it soon walked free of the water like it floated above it and laid first paws into the shore. The lans seemed to give a sigh of content. The deep feeling of remembering and moving onwards with life as the living memory walked further as long graceful legs propelled them forward with the barest sound of a falling water drop and the light rustle of fur as the glow thumbed and brightened with its excitement.
Eye as bright as the moon taking in the surroundings as quills shivered with the passing wind.
It would be a new era.
A new life.

From the deepest, darkest depths of the ocean lay a source of light. It's glow lights up the surroundings areas, a force growing within, waiting for the moment to detach and rise to the surface.
Millions of years passed as it sought out a forever form from within so that it could explore the mythical lands above. When the day came, there was a burst of light which sent it speeding up to the surface. It lit up the darkness above as a lunar eclipse unfolded and as it found its way ashore it took form, head first, neck, body, tail, quills... and finally four black legs.
Covered in fur with canine features, she had bioluminescent quills and beautiful glowing markings that resembled the orb it once was.
"It's more beautiful than I ever imagined," Were her first words.

This Quilldog is a beholder of memories and times long forgotten. It comes in the night to see dreams and cure nightmares in every town it ventures out to. A town on the coast is a particular favorite of this quilldogs due to how many various dreams it comes across and it loves the deep sea and the seashore. It is believed that this particular quilldog is able to see into your soul and see your deepest desires with it's light crystalline blue eyes. It's pelt is likened to that of a bioluminescent flagellate that causes certain sea shores to glow a light blue, some believe that this quill dog was born in a bioluminescent bay and was developed a pelt that matched its territory. Don't let its kind nature fool you though, its quills are as dangerous as a lionfish. If you end up on the wrong end of this Quilldog, it might be your last. Not only can this quilldog cure your nightmares, but they can curse you with a dream so bad you cannot sleep for weeks. This quilldog is mostly nocturnal and tends to arrive in the night and be more active once the sun fades away. During the day they will head to the ocean and disappear without a trace under the waves.

Creative Writing ContestMy story:
It was a quiet night. The sorcerer had lived for many years, using aging spells to stay young. He lived alone, by the sea. He used to live with his wife and two children, but they had died in a tragic accident. The sorcerer hadn't had social interaction for years. He felt tired and alone, the loneliness was too much to bare anymore. He strode into his spell room, and opened a book. The cover was a beautiful aquamarine, and the sorcerer smiled slightly at the sight of the book. This book brought back memories of a better time. He gripped the book for a while to his chest, making his knuckles turn white. Finally, he set the book on the table with an excited bang. This was the first real spell he had done in a while. He opened the page to a specific worn and yellow page. How to create an entity. He performed the spell, chanting odd words, until a bright aquamarine light shone in the middle of the room. The sorcerer was ecstatic! The light change

Im always on my phone so facebook messenger app is more mobile-friendly than deviantart's display on phones
