Description Preliminary sketch for a commission for of her OC and her Oc's bird actively hunting. This style of hunting is called falconry, and as a licensed falconer, I'm enjoying making this piece all too much. <3 Thanks for commissioning me dear! Made on SAI; let me know of anything you want changed! c: This image shows the OC chasing after her bird to assist the expected kill.

Does falconry involve a lot of running like a madman trying to keep up with the bird?  I suddenly have newfound respect for falconers...I might have to look into Colorado's falconry scene after I'm free from college...
p.s. I'm a guy... XD

Ah my apologies sir! <3

And yes, a lot of it is running around trying to keep up with the birds haha! Some people out west who have lots of space to fly utilize horses to keep up with birds.

No worries!  I honestly just found it funny.  You said the same thing on the last piece and I was like "Maaaaaybe I should say something?  Nahhh, I'll just let it slide."

Also, I decided to name her bird "Gwaihir" after the king of the eagles in Lord of the Rings.  In Tolkien's language it translates to "Windlord", so it seemed fitting!   I'm such a nerd..... XD
