Yeah...That happens to me all the time...Right now I have a half-dozen pieces that are unfinished...Seems like I get side tracked alot with other ideas and the older ones lose their appeal.. Guess its all part of the process...

Amazing. I love the hair. We're supposed to do colored pencil drawings in out new IB art sketchbooks, and I find them sort of difficult.

what does the picture it'self look like? the picture has been slightly distorted right?
your mouth is closed which is different- mabey not in drawings but since your mouth is normally open i guess that is different.
and it definitely looks older- i'm trying to figure out why......... all the features seem to be yours but there is something different, something odd like the triangles......... it's all in the cheekbones, cause your face is already triangular it accents it even more and tries to draw it out longer while keeping the face just as triangular.
i think- or rather hope- that's it.

Yeah, the original picture was taken at a slant, so I actually had it rotated to the right. (You can tell by how the hair falls)
I'll probably upload it that way next time.

geeezzz.. i dont know where to start with this piece... i thought it was a photograph or some sort..... when i looked at full view ..its drawn... thats AMAZING... i really like your techniques...i really want to draw now.. but it may be an impossible task for me... but your works are pretty inspirational. ...its trippy.. the hair looks so real in thumbnail version...actually it looks real.... awesome work... big round of applause.

Wow, AMAZING! Was your hair actually red then or did you just draw it like that? I'm really impressed by your colored pencil skills. It looks just like you except maybe a tiny bit more boy-ish somehow. Anyways, wonderful!

Well, it was after I dyed it purple, so it really was kind of red then. I also added a contrast filter to the picture I was drawing from, so it was even MORE red. But it looks more orangey in the photgraph.
Also, I distorted it when I took a photo, so I DO look more boyish from what you can see. You'll see the girly original tomorrow though!

Glad to see someone who doesn't believe in covering the entire paper with pencil! But no, it doesn't feel done to me yet. I've only started it 2 hours ago (or something like that. I'm not sure) and I'm still having fun. That would be like stealing candy from a cripple.
Still have to do the arm, and I was looking forward to the shirt. Also, the colors are wrong, especially on the face. I need to find a good brown, instead of these funny maroon colors.

Oh, awesome! Language? Are you looking into being a writer or are you talking about continuing a study of a certain foreign language? Cooper Union I have not heard of, but I'll look at it, and Art Institute of Chicago was my second choice! I still don't know if they have a nice film program, though. I don't think I could ever go to Yale - they just fired a great, anarchist anthropology professor, David Graeber, [link] and anthropology is something that sort of interests me so Yale gets a big No.
