Perfect lighting! What surface were you shooting this on? The reflection is wonderful and adds so much to the effect. If there's one thing I would change, it would be the rotation - I feel as if it's not quite straight... A couple of degrees clockwise?
In any case, this is very elegant in its simplicity.

So I took your advice in account and rotated it a tad
anyway it was shot on a marble plate here; which does give this amazing reflection when the lighting is used correctly

This is fabulous.. and I agree I do love the whole black thing... you did an awesome job with your lighting on this... the reflection is aspect is just a great addition to the photo that could of stood alone without it... great work!!!! Please keep experimenting ... love creativity in a person... it's good for the soul!

most of my photos are experiment, because I find the pictures I base on things I have done before to be quite boring. x] lol
for me photography should be fun,relaxing and liberating... it must give you the opportunity to express yourself rather than shooting something that would be loved by anyone. Though I am a perfectionist, I do believe that you can't make a perfect photo, maybe you can... but I highly doubt that it would interesting.
