I don't know if I've told anyone this, but I really love Egyptian Gods and all the mythology surrounding them.I like most mythology actually XD
Anyway, an Ancient History class last week kind of inspired me to draw this, Anubis, the God/Protector of the Dead and Embalming c:

Ooooh omg Miscom, you need to get the game called "Age of Mythology" and "Titan Quest/Titan Quest Immortal Throne" BOTH are mythological games. Age of Mythology is kind of a strategy game, I always play the Egyptians and everyone with my Anubis armies. xD
TQ being the better one because it's like an MMORPG game, only take away the massive amount of annoying people playing, cause even when you play online with others, you can only have like 5 or something in a group. And it's about as intricate as WOW when it comes to items and such, I'm surprised it doesn't get more attention.

Anubis is amazing. I think I actually saw him once, right around the time my grandma Julie passed away. I looked, and he was standing there at the foot of the bed. Looking to the side. He turned to look at me, and when I blinked he was gone.
Strangely, I wasn't afraid, simply fascinated. That morning, I got the news that my grandmother passed away.

While I was looking up pictures of him, so many people had drawn him angry or attacking something, so I thought I'd change that and kinda make him... well... I wouldn't say sad, but since he would see so many souls pass through the afterlife it might of gotten a bit depressing at some times.

When I saw him, his expression was calm and even. He wasn't angry or frightening at all. Death is always put in a negative light when it is simply a new beginning. Ending of one existence and the beginning of the next. He has the element of Death - and as such he is generally depicted as frightening or evil.
What I saw of him, though - was not frightening, or evil at all. He didn't look right at me, like, our eyes didn't meet, but they looked golden to me. His expression from what I remember was serious - but calm.
It was pretty awesome. ^^

Mmmm, I remember I used to be really scared of dying (I don't really remember why), but now I just think of it as another adventure included in life, the journey of after life.

Every time I have encountered a death-like entity (Which I have encountered more then once) They were chilling and cold - but always very calm and unjudging.
Thing is - I can contact spirits in a level most can not. It's... a weird little ability I have; and sometimes it can be a little disconcerting... Spirits will come to me out of nowhere, and I know I'm being visited by the tingles and shivers....
Perhaps that is part of why I could see him? I really think he was coming to let me know she passed; mostly because I got that call the next morning...

I'd probably go "who the hell left my door open again D<" because my room gets incredibly cold in winter, and no matter what I do my family ALWAYS leaves to door open after they leave so my lovely and toast room goes cold again =w=
I think its pretty neat, but I guess it could be startling at some times.
Its interesting that Anubis came though, hes like an Egyptian god, thought he would... well... be in Egypt.

Egyptian mythology was actually my favourite mythology. Anubis, of course, was one of my favourite gods. when i was younger I loved Egypt. I have always wanted to go to Egypt. Fav Egyptian gods: 1. Osiris 2. Anubis 3. Ra 4. Horus 5. Isis (surprised there ain't no Seth? Well he's an asshole)

Osiris is the god of resurrection (technically he is a zombie with his consciousness from when he was alive still around. Blame Seth for his death in the first place)
