Description They stand under a street light pole. Shadows have them. He holds her, holds her as the most precious belonging ever. She hides her face in his chest and take in a long breath and smell cocoabutter and caramel. She looks into his eyes and says, "I want to fill my lungs with your scent". He strokes her neck and kisses her forehead reassuringly but says nothing.

His breath gets uneven and she hugs him tighter. When she looks up to him hes fighting back tears, She says, "Wishes come true, sooner or later". He clears his thoart and speaks incoherently, "Under the same moon, we are, again." She touches his lips and outlines his jaws, "moon knows, hes been there all along".

He looks at her and says, "This can't be it, you promised me a forever". She fakes a smile and says, "I promised you love until the last beat of my heart, thats a forever in other words". Tears roll down her pale cheeks, he wipes them off. His voice crude and hoarse, "What about the spring and flowers and butterflies we chased? How would I face them alone?" She cries shamelessly now, hiccupping she pushes him away and says, "Did you miss me when you were out there looking for yourself." He couldn't meet her gaze then.

She pulls him back and leans against him, "Do you love me?" Tears shine in his eyes and he nods. She hears desperation and urgency in her voice, "I want to hear it aloud."

He struggles to keep in voice controlled and smooth, "Haven't you known all along"? She doesn't reply. He goes on, "I wanted to make you feel like the luckiest girl ever, I know I failed."

"You might not have failed, if you didn't try this hard and stayed around more."

Her breathing gets asymmetrical she fights against time to hear those words. She can feel her heart going precipitous and pain overtook her senses. She was leaving, but managed, "maybe all wishes aren't granted after all."

She shifted all her weight onto him and kissed him for the last time, her thought despite the pain, oh what you do to me boy am dying and here I am thinking of how much I still want you. As soon as the kiss broke; he spoke, "I love you, always have, forever will."

Those were the last words she ever heard, she glided away smiling.

Wow! I am truly amazed! Your knack for description makes me a little envious I must say! And your emotion translates very well into your writing and is therefore conveyed very easily. That is something that you cannot learn when it comes to poetry; it is something more innate.
