I think Fran is sooo pretty. Alot of people do actually. DA has lots of Fran Fanart!. I did this to sell as a print at Katsu. I enjoyed drawing it alot and glad i finished it . I hope to do more paintings with no line art.

When i see things that are really painterly sometimes it gives me a head ache ... it makes me think of the countless hours it took to do that. I like flat colors alot because the spirit of the art is stronger ( to me ). The art is created faster and is more connected to the original idea. I think thats a conflict i have personally. I love that spirit of the quick draw and create but .... i like to paint but the rendering time is alot and the art is so far away from the original idea some times. Hehe maybe i should just paint faster

Now that confuses me. I have talked with so many painters who said i'm a worthless artist when i don't paint my stuff and now i hear from one awesome colorist that my stuff looks great. I'm flattered.

I can't believe I never faved this before? This is probably the best FFXII fanart I've ever seen. It's incredibly, incredibly beautiful (I want to paint like this someday! The hair is just so beautiful.... It's almost like the clouds or wooshes of wind in persian paintings).
I liked Fran loads, her character design as well as her personality! ^__^ She was a very pretty character, infact all vieras were! O__O
(Though I suppose out of all the female charries, I like Ashe the best..?)

Hem... I tried to dig up a couple of piccies that reminded me of your style in this pic.
This is from the older persian paintings, the miniatures from the safavid dynaty time, methinks? --> [link] (I can never find good ones online, so I just scanned it from meh books.

wow great persian art - you know when i saw that water the inthe first one i felt almost choked up . i think its the idea of trying to row boat through water that is like tangled hair did it - what a great effect i love the swirlies in all of these. The other two are really great too . Thanks so much for scaning it ^_^! i didnt mean for you to go through so much trouble but i totally appriciate it - the art is GREAT. I've been working on the penelo but so far there arent as many swirlies as i would like. Frans hair really lended itself to that. We'll see, im not done yet

I think you captured her hair realy nicely, especially the way you used colours other then the white into it.
