The search for clean water brought Grey down from the North. She could no longer trust Magellan, the Melusine, nor any water near the mountains for fear that she may be poisoned again.

Farther south now, and nearing the border of Skydas territory, Grey found The Fox. He had come to the freelands for the nearly same reason.
