I just keep going back and forth to this painting Β , IΒ try to say what I feel but I cantΒ really express it properly ..
maybe just me; but I see inΒ 'her' green eyeΒ hopeΒ , courage to be herselfΒ but in 'her' blueΒ eye I seeΒ some fear , worry about what if she cant make it , what if she is not good enough to be what she want to be ...maybe it's just a worry of an ego ...Β so much symbolismΒ going in this piece that I really love ..the color vibes remind me of a movie Ive seen recently ' shape of water' ...Β

I have to agree with the other comments, especially when it comes to noticing the colors. The yellow and emerald green really take the focus because of their brightness. The darker shades of the other colors allow this to happen. For example, the darker teal in the background allows the face to stand out in the forefront. Meanwhile, the marred flesh (I'm guessing here as to what those parts actually are) in desaturated red-violet and orange compliment the green well. They also allow the green to stand out, while still having their own noticeable section in the figure.

I think you handled that issue well here. Red takes a lot of attention as is, and it doesn't take much to make it stand out. Because the red tones aren't as saturated, it does allow the greens to pop forward more.
